I have something new for you!
CHECK THIS OUT – A STANAG 6001 LEVEL 3 REPORT PLUS AUDIO!
I received a question lately about the source of recorded STANAG 6001 level 3 reports.
Why would anyone want to listen to reports instead of writing them?
I asked.
And the answer is that it would be cool to be able to listen to reports while jogging, driving or ironing.
Well, I thought, why not?
So, I revamped one of the reports from my book and prepared a recording.
So, here’s a question to you. Would a source of downloadable reports be of use to you?
Check out the report and the audio below and let me know in the comment what you think of this form of learning.

REPORT

Subject: The problem of obesity

Introduction

The purpose of this report is to present the problem of obesity among modern societies as well as to assess its consequences and suggest possible ways of solving this problem. The report is based on the data made available by the National Health Organisation.

Reasons for obesity

There are different reasons why people become overweight. To begin with, modern day humans seem to lack time to consume proper meals. Consequently, they hastily swallow whatever drops into their lap, be it fast food or a quick snack and whenever they have a chance. As a result, their diet is irregular and poorly balanced. Another cause of overweight is the lack of physical exercise. To be precise, seventy per cent of respondents have admitted in a street survey that they are not engaged in any sports activity. It allows to assume that the majority of people prefer spending their free time in front of the TV or computer screens. Sadly, if this trend continues, it may have serious implications for the future health of the whole nations.

Consequences

The consequences of obesity may be manifold. This report will focus on the two most serious. First of all, being overweight leads to various diseases, such as heart problems and diabetes. The relevant research shows that being obese greatly increases the risk of developing cardiovascular diseases. Also, about fifty per cent of patients suffering from diabetes are obese. Secondly, the problem with maintaining appropriate weight may cause psychological dysfunctions, such as depression, not to mention eating disorders, for example, anorexia or bulimia. Not only can it cause social problems but even lead to death. Therefore, if the problem is not addressed, it seems that the scale of this phenomenon may increase.

Recommendation

All in all, taking the above information into consideration, it seems obvious that serious steps must be taken in order to prevent the development of this dangerous trend. Firstly, it is advisable to launch a media campaign informing the public about the threats related to obesity. Secondly, as regards healthy diet, the right dietary habits should be shaped from an early age. Hence, state institutions, such as kindergartens and schools should be involved. And finally, physical exercise and healthy lifestyle should be encouraged in the media and endorsed by celebrities.
