Part 3 Questions 6-7 minutes

1. Do you often use bank services? Which? Why?
Example answer: I don't go to the bank very often, but I use cash machines a lot to withdraw cash. I sometimes use my credit card to book a hotel or plane tickets. I also have a savings account where I save money for my holiday. I don't like going to banks because there are always long queues there and everything takes ages. I prefer online banking, because I can pay my bills from home and do shopping online.
Optional additional questions: Is using credit cards safe?/Do you prefer to pay cash or by card? Why?
2. When was the last time you went to the bank? What did you do there?
Example answer: I went to the bank last week to report the lost card. It was swallowed by a cash machine because I forgot my PIN. I wanted to get the card back. The bank clerk was very nice and told me what to do. They got my card out of the machine and I could collect it from the bank. I was also given a new PIN. Unfortunately, there was a long queue and I had to spend 2 hours there.
Optional additional questions: Have you ever lost your credit card? What did you do? What should you do when you lose your credit card?
3. What are the advantages and disadvantages of using online banking?
Example answer: There are definitely more pluses of online banking than minuses. Firstly, it is convenient as you can pay your bills from home and you can use it wherever you want. You only need Internet access. Secondly, online shopping is easier with fast online payment. You don't need to leave your home to buy things you need. However, there are also minuses. Hackers can break into your online bank account and steal your money. You need to be careful not to give your password to unauthorized people.
Optional additional questions: Do you use online banking? Why (not)? Do you do shopping online? Why (not)?
As you can see, in Part 3 you need to be ready to answer additional questions which the examiner may ask.
You don't see Part 3 questions on you role card. They are asked by the examiner.
